Who is GiftLink for?

All Gift Basket professionals, Florists and Specialty Gift providers.


How does it work?

GiftLink is an internet directory - a collection of global gift retailers, who coordinate between themselves for same and next day deliveries.

There are benefits on both sides: the retailer referring the order receives 15% of the sale (referring commission) and the retailer filling the order is paid 85% of the sale.

This wire service is for every retailer wanting to network with other professionals and provide the best service and a variety of gifts/products to their customers. This directory is for your exclusive use. With GiftLink, you will have instant access to Gift Basket Professionals, Florists and Specialty Gift Shops.

GiftLink is a co-operative retailer effort. This is YOUR network, it's growth will depend upon your professional business ethics and your desire for customer gift fulfillment options.

When a customer asks you to arrange a basket, floral or balloon delivery outside your local area, log onto

Select a state, province or country, under the Member Directory, follow the link to the desired location and select a retailer covering that area.

Contact that retailer and indicate you wish to place a GiftLink order.

Discuss your customer's specific needs and make arrangements for payment. You may be asked to make payment with a credit card. Confirm your 15% referring commission. (commission is calculated on the base price of the gift ordered - does not include wire service fee (if any), sales tax, or delivery charge.

The retailer on the other end creates the gift and makes the delivery.


DETAILS

Scenario: Your customer requests a delivery of a Gourmet Basket with a bouquet of Red Roses. Customer wants it delivered across town by 3pm the next day. You only "do" Gift Baskets. You need a Florist - now! But you're not going to lose a sale - because you can check GiftLink and see which florists are listed in your area.

- You call them while your customer is there
- You confirm the order and delivery charge.
- You collect the sale amount from the customer which may include a wire service fee (normally $6.00 to $10.00) and the delivery charge.
- Your customer loves you because you have saved them time and a trip to a florist.

Each order may be different. With local deliveries, you should take some time to discuss and coordinate with fellow GiftLink members, how to mutually handle deliveries. If you pick up the roses and do the delivery, you retain the delivery charge. If the florist picks up the Gourmet Basket and does the actual delivery, you pay them the delivery charge.

If your order is cross-country, it would work basically the same. You would remit the delivery charge to the fulfilling retailer, along with 85% of the sale amount. Wire service fees would be at your discretion and you retain. If you refer an order using a toll-free number, it has cost you absolutely nothing to place that referral order. If the call costs you, then charge a wire service fee.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

- Resale Tax ID Number or Business License.
- Orders are filled at full value.
- Prompt Delivery.
- Prompt payment - within 20 days, to retailer filling the order.

GiftLink offers the advantage of linking to a retailer's webpage, you can get a feel for their design ability and gift offerings.

If no website is listed, it is best to call the retailer and discuss your needs.

You may become a member of the network at any time.

Currently, the charge is a one time fee of $25.00 for a listing on GiftLink. Join now and and you will never pay any additional fees.

We will notify you (via email) as each new members come aboard - so you will always have a current and complete list of members you can network with for gift deliveries.
